Blue-winged Teal

The Blue-winged teal prefers marshes and ponds. These birds feed by dabbling in shallow water at the edge of marshes or open water. They mainly eat plants but also consume mollusks and aquatic insects. They breed throughout north and central North America and make shallow nests in depressions on the ground lined with grass and down. They migrate in flocks to Central and South America.  This information came from Wikipedia, the online encyclopedia.
